“A manga-like scrolling beat’em-up”
Third Blade also revives some simple stuff that we were missing, as difficulty levels (normal, hard or hellish) and, oh surprise, a story line. It’s true that it won’t be going for an Oscar, but it’s appreciated. As you need all screen wide to play and fit the joystick and other buttons, ads are sensibly placed full screen when you’re loading to the next stage. On the go, you can learn new skills and purchase better weapons and, if you ever get bored, there are some additional game modes to check out.
Finally. we know that almost nobody notices it, but we love the music of this game and that’s a great point in its favor. Graphics are cute and, although gameplay can seem chaotic at first, it’s in fact smooth and fun. Tip: check your XP bar before wasting a healing potion, because health is replenished when you level up.
In conclusion, great, great game. Consider its rating as four and a half of five.
